What time are we allowed in the caravan?
Please arrive at the caravan no earlier than 2.30pm, unless by prior arrangement with
Mr & Mrs Porter. During busy periods the arrival time may be 3.30pm. This will be confirmed when we send out
the keys and barrier card in preparation for your stay.
Do we collect the keys on arrival at the caravan park reception?
No, normally the keys and barrier card are sent out by Mr & Mrs Porter around a week in advance. They are sent
via 2nd Class Recorded Delivery, in a padded jiffy envelope. So you should be able to arrive, swipe the
barrier card and gain immediate access to the caravan park.
If we arrive early, are we able to park the car outside of the caravan and go for a walk into Ingoldmells?
Yes, certainly! Please be aware that cleaners or other contractors may be performing work on the caravan
in anticipation of your arrival, so please allow them to continue their work undisturbed.
Is there parking close to the caravan?
Yes, there is parking for your vehicle right next to the caravan. Please make sure you park on the rows of
slabs provided. Please do not park on the grass, especially if the ground is wet.
If we arrive and discover any damage to the caravan, what do we do?
In the unlikely event of this happening, please telephone Mr & Mrs Porter immediately on
0115-9100987 for further instructions. Please do not enter
the caravan until you have spoken with Mr & Mrs Porter over the telephone and received advice on how to proceed.
Do we need to bring anything with us?
Please bring your own bed sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and towels. Other than that, most things
are provided in the caravan (e.g. crockery and cutlery, kettle, toaster, microwave, television, etc). Bedding
hire may be available at certain times of the year, so please contact us for further details and pricing.
Are we allowed to bring pets with us to the caravan?
No. We do not allow any pets to stay in our caravans, with the only exception being registered assistance dogs.
Are groups of young people allowed to stay in the caravan?
No. In order to offer our customers a relaxing holiday environment, we do not allow groups of young people under
25 years old to book holidays in our caravans. If however you have a young family and would like to book your
holiday with us, please do get in touch and we will be happy to discuss options with you.
Is there an iron in the caravan?
Yes, we do provide an iron and an ironing board, so no need to worry about those creases when you
unpack your clothes from the suitcase. You will also find hangers in the wardrobes so you can hang your
garments up.
Is bedding provided in the caravan?
All the mattresses have mattress protectors fitted, and these must be left in place. We encourage customers
to bring their own duvet covers, bed sheets and pillow cases. We do provide duvets, pillows and blankets so
you can keep warm on cooler nights. Duvet protectors are also provided and must be used on our duvets.
Are the bedrooms heated?
Yes. All our caravans have heating in the bedrooms. Depending on the caravan, you will find either large
fixed convector heaters, or blown air heating in the bedrooms. So you can enjoy a cosy, comfortable
night sleep and wake up all refreshed for your holiday adventures!
What is the code for the security safe?
You will find the code for the security safe located on the key fob attached to the caravan key. For
obvious reasons we cannot publish the code here.
What time do we have to leave the caravan on the last day?
Please make sure you have vacated the caravan by 10am, unless by prior arrangement with Mr & Mrs Porter.
Please also make sure that all doors and windows are secure and that all appliances are switched off,
the heating is switched off where applicable and that all taps are turned off.
What do we do with the keys and barrier card on departure?
Please post the keys and barrier card back to us immediately on departure from the caravan. There is
a post office close to the caravan park, and directions can be obtained from the caravan park reception.
Please make sure they are posted in a padded jiffy bag by 1st Class Recorded Delivery.
When we have posted the keys and barrier card, do we need to keep our receipt for proof of
postage?
We strongly recommend that keep your receipt for proof of postage, at the very least until we have
safely received the keys and barrier card back from you.
When do we receive our bond refund?
We normally refund the bond money the same day as we receive the keys and barrier card back, and only
if the caravan has been left clean and tidy, and no damage has been done to the caravan etc during your stay.
